Tus Vecinos En La Barrio (Your Neighbors in the Neighborhood) is a hispanic community outreach organization located in Tucson, Arizona. The organization was founded in 2007 by a group of concerned citizens who wanted to work in the community neighbor to neighbor to learn about what is affecting our community and find ways to make our community a better place.
Tus Vecinos en el Barrio provides a platform for a positive message in the community. That if we as neighbors understand each other and work to understand each other’s values that a better outcome can be achieved in positive solutions in the mission of making the community a better place for everyone.
The key is understanding each other and following the 4:8 Principle from Philippians:
"Finally, Brethren, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy--meditate on these things. And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely and admirable. Think about things that are excellent
and worthy of praise."
So, my friends in the Tucson neighborhood, let us focus on what is true, honorable and right. Let us not focus on what divides us, but on what unites us and work for the best outcomes for the City. This is the way to improve our community!
Tus Vecinos En La Barrio is a valuable resource for the Hispanic community in Tucson.
